    1. Trek and Climb Mountains If your tour operator ever decided to cancel boat trips to Anawangin a day prior your trip, like what happened to us, then you can take an alternate route. Aside from taking a boat ride, you can also get to Anawangin cove by trekking Mt. Pundaquit. But that would take at least 4 hours.     One of the best options for a short weekend getaway that is still near Manila is the province of Zambales. There are a lot of places and activities that you can choose from when you get to the province but for beach lovers, the no-brainer pick is of course, San Antonio.¬†Pundaquit town is right in San Antonio and it serves as the jump-off point for Anawangin and Nagsasa Coves.
